Recently I started a Flicker site so I could share my photos. You can access it here. I have pictures from the stamp show and pictures of my jewelry. I also hope to get pictures of my ATC's for trade.

new jewelry
Bead surrounded and encased cabachons with spiral weave strap. These are 3 out of 4 new pieces. My goal this year is to complete 4 new pieces per month. This month's were especially elaborate, with the fourth beaded on leather measuring 4x6 inches (approx.) The strap is not finished. February i plan to do less time intensive but still quite striking strung pieces using ceramic focals.
My latest idea, compliments of a swap-bot swap. I think it's a good idea to make an inspiration box. A box you can put things into that could inspire you in times of idea famine or just to get you thinking "outside" the box. Here's a list of things you could put in it:
foreign coins
vintage or really cool buttons
hand made or textured paper
any kind of fibers,
a couple of pages from a dictionary or paperback
watch parts
an earring that's missing it's mate
vintage photos
vintage or unusual beads
something shiny you found on the street (that's clean, i hope,)
fortune from a fortune cookie,
poem that you found in a book that spoke to you or a copy of your favorite poem
pen in an unusual color or form
pencil with a pattern on it
A photo of your summer vacation, a sunset, a sunrise or a rock that you found interesting
A story from your newspaper
dried flower or some seeds
ticket from a movie or concert or play or any event
matchbox or pack from a local restaurant
memo pad with a picture on the front
lucky penny
brochure from your town or any flyer that has pictures on it
something from your "junk" drawer
something you found in your father's desk drawer (my dad had political pins in his, i will have to ask if he still has them, it'd be nice to scan and use on ATC's for ephemera)
balloon
that thing that keeps floating around your house cause you don't know where to put it
magazine article
something from your sewing box
an advertisement for a piece of jewelry you could never afford but is breathtaking
one of those kid's erasers in a fun shape, like sponge bob or something
something out of a gumball machine

feel free to post your ideas and i'll add them. This article/post is copyrighted, this article may not be reprinted without permission, so please ask before you post it to your web site, I'll probably say yes if you give me credit and I would be happy to create a link to drive traffic to your site.

I will be posting a picture of my box and its contents when i finish it.

Okay, I'm about to embark on something totally new, a traveling altered book. I'm sending my book out into the world and will encourage the participants to post here when they send my book on. And feel free to send me a picture of what you've done, of yourself and post where you're from as well. I'd like to start a map so the kids can follow along. I will publish a picture of the book when it starts, and then when it's finished. Hopefully we can all follow along (all 1 of us who check in from time to time.) In the meantime, check out my capitalwjewelry.com for my new jewelry, or planbpress.com for the latest poetry contest. I hope to get my latest ATC's up in the next day or two. Peace Out.

I obviously and publicly have few friends it seems. I was hoping more people would post, especially after the Bo Bice thing. But alas, I'm all alone in cyberspace.
In Music News - I found out that Marty Casey - from Rock Star INXS has released an album with the LoveHammers - his band. The single "Trees" is on it and I will be searching out the disk this weekend. In other music news, inspired by my love of Freebird (see below) I finally picked up a best of Lynard Skynard, and because it was cheap and I just love them - Licensed to Ill by the Beastie Boys!!! 7.50 at Walmart. (yes, the nasty walmart that thinks I just may be a drug lord.) Tomorrow if the rest of the DAy at the Shore swaps arrive, i can begin swapping out and having loads of fun packaging and such. If they don't, i just may start rummaging through the submissions anyway. No one showed for the ATC swap in Lancaster, I'm really trying to create a buzz here, but it's just a little hiss at this point. Hope more people get into this, I'd really like to do some face to face swapping.
Over, and out.
I'm sleepy.

Hey, i think i'm getting the hang of this thing. I'm actually posting on a regular basis. To all those who are signing on to see the cork doll, this means you will have to scroll further down the page, or read through all my ramblings. It's late, and I'm burning CD's that I have recently bought because I need more music in my car and for work. I prefer burning copies so I can keep those in the car and the originals in my house. I just burned a kick butt mix CD too, for driving. Including a couple of Beastie Boys tracks for energy in the afternoon. You just can't help but get energized by Fight for your Right. The CD winds up with , what else? FREE BIRD!! Okay, couldn't help it, Walmart had Beastie Boys and Lynard Skynard cheap today and I stopped on the way home from seeing my nieces dance in a competition. By the way, if you live in or near Bucks County - they go to a great dance school, Knecht. I'm not exactly sure how they do it, but the dancers that come out of that school ROCK big time. Women, send your kids there. I"m sure it costs a bunch, but it seems to be worth it. My daughter, has no interest in dancing or anything really girly, but is becoming a pretty righteous drummer. Can't wait to see if my friend scored some Tommy Lee sticks for her at the Motley Crue concert last night.
Well, tired now, must sleep, must work tomorrow.
Off to bed for now . . .

BO BICE I just saw Bo last night at the Chameleon in Lancaster, PA. Oh Wow! even cuter in person and what a performance!! Can I just be thrilled a little longer - oh man. and I was so close, like 5 feet away from him. I took my 12 year old daughter and had the time of my life. Yes, I am like almost 40 and I don't care. The thing is, this guy really knows music, the band was fantastic AND THEY FINISHED THE SET BY PLAYING FREE BIRD!!oH, WAS I in heaven!! FREE BIRD man! and it was soo cool. Best night by far in a long long time. I forgot how much I loved clubs, music and hot sexy men. In addition to Bo, might i add, his lead guitar is a friggin genius as is his drummer!! And his roadie, the one with the long hair who got a stick for my drummer daughter ROCKS!! He really made her night. She's a lot more laid back than me, but she's smilin' big today because of that. I have visitation rights on the stick, WEd and Fri nights, every other weekend and Halloween. She gets all the other holidays. That's okay, I still love her. Can't wait till it's her up there bangin on the drums. The drummer did this really cool solo with Bo holding the bongos - I think my daughter's gonna give it a try. Wish I still had my bongos. Bummer. -WEll, till i get around to this again! Over and OUt

New ATC's i made in the past couple of weeks. There are other day at the beach ones, each is different. The dance ones above are really cool - made with a kind of stained glass technique, capturing ink and glitter behind the image of the dancer. Enjoy, feel free to ask about technique and if you have any atc's you'd like to trade.

Honestly, i'd hoped i'd post more regularly, but alas, life gets in the way. What have I been up to? What haven't I? I have posted some more ATC's i have for trade and things I've altered. If you want to trade, and aren't a member of one of the many groups I'm a member of, e-mail me and we can work something out. I love the above card - "just keep swimming" reminiscent of finding Nemo - as if we can just keep going, everything will work out. Also she knows, i saw her and i just kept thinking she knows something in that picture (a found relative if you must know) i don't know what she knows but She does. The dolls are my first attempts at art dolls. The cork doll on the left was made for a specific person, because of her online personality and what I know of her, the ones on the right are for a Voodoo/healing swap. EAch doll has a sash printed with a virtue (love, creativity, and some other such things) and has a matching amulet with either a defininition or japanese kanji enclosed. They were fun and turned out quite lovely. Hope you all enjoy.

First entry:
September 16th, pre yard sale and after 11 which means i'll be going off to sleep soon. Traded ATC's with my sister in law tonight, a very talented artist. Will post some of my cards on this site for trading and for looking. Tonight, for looking. These have all been traded. Thought for tonight, Wal-mart will only let me buy a couple packages of sudafed. I had a sick kid and husband at home. When i ask the cashier what will prevent me from going out, coming back in and buying more, she says "your integrity." MY integrity? MY integrity? you've got to be kidding. Seems 'big brother' is once again watching out for me, trying to protect me and now i've got this "cashier" questioning MY INTEGRITY. Honey, you work for Wal Mart - not the FBI. My integrity says i've got a sick kid, a sick husband and don't want to waste my 3$ per gallon gas on running back and forth to stores to get enough sudafed to last the freakin' week. Yes, big brother must protect my from myself yet again. After all, I might have a dope lab in my garage. I say, gather up all the drug addicts and drug dealers, put them on an island, and let them have at it till the drugs are all used up, the drug addicts dead and there's no market anymore. Then there will be no drug trade.
AND I mean it.
